Non-Fiction
Modern mothers are trying to be everything to everyone, and it's not doing anyone any good. The battle is no longer working mothers vs. stay-at-home moms, feminists vs. traditionalists, or alpha moms vs. beta moms... the battle is inside us.
I wrote Mothers Need Time-Outs, Too: It's Good to be a Little Selfish—It Actually Makes You a Better Mother along with Susan Callahan and Anne Nolen after interviewing 500+ women across America and abroad, and we concluded that mothers need to be more selfish, not less. Our book provides stories and tips from the trenches—as well as cutting-edge research—and argues that parenting with energy, optimism and according to our own instincts is possible in this frenzied world.

Freelance editing clients include non profit organizations, M.I.T and private clients.
I was born in Germany but grew up largely in London and studied Modern Languages (European Literature) at Oxford University. I speak German and French fluently and am well equipped to work on projects that deal with cultural issues. I received my Master's in Communication (Journalism) from Stanford University, where I focused on feature articles and profiles.
